You can´t possibly talk about Luton airport without mentioning the Easy Jet low cost air company. It´s like the mother ship for this enormous organization. The percentage of check-in balconies with Easy-Jet exclusive trademark must be around 80%. So, if you are traveling with Easy Jet for sure boarding won´t be a problem. Luton is located in a relatively isolated place, just a few miles away from an industrial area, so not that much to see around the airport. But when you get the cheapest flights in the U.K. you don´t really care. Get in and get out that’s the slang. The airport shuttle works just fine, as well as the entire transport network associated to it. The International Terminal Building has been working since 1985, which is relatively new but don´t let that induce you the wrong way, they are experts, they have the cheapest international airfares, the last thing you will be thinking about is a discount flight because they are all discount flights. In 2006 Luton registered 9 million passengers in a single year, and I bet they were all satisfied with the price they paid. Regarding facilities within the airport you have it all, even a big fun zone for the kids to play when waiting for the flight. I was never bored there, because I never waited that long and because I paid very little getting from there to London, which is the main destination for European travelers going into England, you will be just half an hour away from the big city that will provide you with big experiences. The prices are so affordable that many foreign workers take the offer to spend the weekend in their home countries all over Europe. Luton is the obvious choice when you are on a low budget travel.
