Doncaster, or as it is commonly known by its residents “Donny” is a town located in South Yorkshire. The international airport of Doncaster is very recent, it has opened in 2005, and since over 2 million have traveled on its routes. The airline package is not very wide, but it already has some important low cost airlines operating with their fantastic low cost flights. The destinations package include some of the most hot summer places in Europe such as Spain and Greece, if you haven´t decided yet your summer trip, you might get a last minute flight to let´s say Ibiza. One of the main attractions in Doncaster is the Race Course, a tradition that goes back to the 17th century, making The Doncaster Cup the oldest continuing regulated horse race in the world. Doncaster big development however took place since the 18th century with the Industrial Revolutions, taking advantage of its waterways making it a privileged place to settle industry and commerce. Nowadays it is only the 15th largest city outside London, but that doesn´t mean you won´t have plenty to see and do in Doncaster. For instance you can visit the Dome Leisure Center, a swimming complex with bars a sports arena that is also used as an event venue and the United Kingdom's first ever two-level ice skating rink. Finally, you can visit The Trolleybus Museum, if you were asked to name one of the main particularities of Great Britain, a lot of people would remember the red buses of London. This museum offers you the opportunity to revisit all the history of the trolleybuses since the beginning.
