Fly to Bristol

Located on the South West of England, it is Great Britain´s 9th most populous city. It´s an uncharacteristic city regarding the dominant architecture style of England. This is nice if you are taking a trip around the country and you are a little bit saturated of red-brick houses. The major attraction of the city is probably the 19th century suspension bridge (Clifton Bridge) in which you can walk for free or take a ride by car by only 50 cents. As for events you can attend the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta which is making a respectful 30th birthday this year. You also have an original event called The Festival of Ideas, which was part of the program bid to European Capital of Culture in 2005, and although the bid was not successful the organizers came forward with the event making it an annual venue. The largest employers of Bristol are the two universities which can give you a reference regarding the young vibe of the city. Saint Nicholas market is a place to visit and chop around for bargains since it accommodates the largest community of independent retailers in the area, and also if you are into a international gastronomic tour this market is also the place to be offering a variety of international cuisine to its customers.
