Santiago de Compostela is not a very big Spanish city. Located in northeastern Spain, in the Galicia region, the total population is about 90,000 habitants. Santiago is better known by its Cathedral, an impressive structure from the Romanesque period, the Raxoi's Palace and a 16th century university, which holds the title as one of the oldest in Europe. Many of these airlines specialize in last minute flights, which are not only cheaper flights but also a great solution for last minute travelers, who decided on adding Santiago de Compostela to their itinerary as an afterthought. Booking last minute flights is easy if you are open to flying at any time of the day or any day of the week. The best sale deals are usually during inconvenient times that other passengers prefer not to take. Examples include arriving to the destination at midnight or taking a cheap flight that includes lots of stops or long waiting times between connections.
