German airline company flies on many holiday destinations from Cologne/Bonn
Pristina International Airport is situated in Kosovo and is on the outskirts of the city of Pristina. The airport carries out several duties regarding the sending and receiving of flights, cargo loading and unloading etc. The airport is maintained by the United Nations Interim Administrations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) as well as the Kosovo Airlines. It is coded as PRN by the International Air Transport Association. The Pristina International Airport carries a load of international flights on and off from different cities. Scheduled and Chartered Airlines both ply through this airport. The airport was started in 1965. Earlier the airport only operated flights to Germany and Switzerland but later following the Kosovo war, flights are also operated to other European capitals. The airport code of the airport is PRN. The airplane tickets are available at the airport to all the covered destinations and also through the new site that was launched in 2007. Cheap tickets can be ordered through discounts and other concessions. The usual rates are reasonably priced. The airport received the “Best Airport Award” on 2006. The recent developments at the airport along with improved services towards the airplane commuter led to the award being honored to them. The airport operates flights to and fro with Ljubljana, Vienna, London, Prague, Berlin, Hamburg, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Budapest, Istanbul, Sofia, Zagreb and Tirana and chartered flights to Geneva, Zurich, Verona, Dusseldorf, Munich, Stuttgart and Hanover. The airport served 1,120,000 passengers in 2007 and renovated the infrastructure greatly over the past three years. With the launch of the new website the Name has been written as “Prishtina International Airport”. As of now, the airport is undergoing Expenses’ Reduction program which is aimed at cutting down unnatural costs and the betterment of the passengers.
