Situated in the Sassari province of Northern Sardinia, the Alghero airport is located at a distance of around three miles north of the Alghero city. Alghero airport contains a single runway with an asphalt surface that extends up to three thousand meters in length. A total amount of nearly twenty five airlines including both domestic as well as international ones functions in this airport. Together these airline services support a passenger count of almost one million people annually. The main hike has been due to the rise in the number of international passengers which have been witnessed over the past four to five years.
